MSCI Metals activity for the month of March, 2023 shows steel shipments increasing in the US and Canada from year-ago levels while Aluminum shipments declined in both countries from the same period a year ago. U.S. Service Center Activity – U.S. service center steel shipments in March, 2023 increased by 2.5% from March, 2022. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 10.7% from the same month in 2022. Canadian Service Center Activity – Canadian service center steel shipments in March, 2023 increased by 3.1% from March 2022. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 3.9% from the same month in 2022.
