Line pipe prices were down 2.1% in August with domestic prices down 0.9% and import prices down 3.4%.  This is the 3rd month of consecutive price declines, but line pipe prices remain 35% higher compared to a year ago.  Distributors sentiment is neutral with the NASPD Index scoring 50 for the second month in a row.  Natural gas prices averaged $8.6/mmbtu in August, up 19% from the previous month, while HRC prices were down 11%.  The details are in the report.
