This is the 10th consecutive month of price gains with 8 of those months bringing price gains of 5% or more. The cumulative price increase since September 2020 totals 80%, propelled by gains in ERW prices; domestic ERW is up 140% and import ERW is up 120%. Distributor’s sentiment remains bullish with the NASPD Index score of 77 in July, down slightly from the June score due to a significant decline in n ew orders. Oil and natural gas prices are higher in July as is HRC, which is now 3 times the level it was at the start of 2020. Import volumes have been mostly steady since February.
