(by Rye Druzin, www.pipe-logix.com) Line pipe prices declined by 1.4% in November, accelerating declines compared to the prior month, with domestic prices down by 1.9% and import prices down by 1%. This is the 18th consecutive month of price decreases and the acceleration in price declines came after an October fall that was the slowest since prices began falling in May 2022. The domestic all sizes ERW average price rose by 2.2% to $1,974 short ton, while the all sizes seamless average price dropped by 3.8% to $3,825/st. The import all sizes ERW average price edges up by 0.3% to $1,562/st, while the all sizes seamless average price was down by 1.5% to $2,999/st. Distributor’s sentiment rose in November for the fourth consecutive month and turned positive for the firstg time since March. The NASPD index jumped by nine points to 54. Pricing expectations, as a component of sentiment jumped significantly by 33 point to 75.
