This is the 13th consecutive month of price decreases, with the rate of declines slowing in June. Distributor’s sentiment edged down in June, the third consecutive month of declines, with the NASPD index down by 1 point to 39, the lowest level since August 2020. Pricing expectations, as a component of sentiment, fell by five points to eight, while inventory size dropped by 19 points to 45. Supply and demand balance rose by four points to 44, while order fulfillment increased by 9 points to 42. Inventory direction decline by 5 points to 59., while new orders moved down by four points to 42. Line pipe supply is estimated to have been up I Man at 131,200 short tons, according to preliminary Department of Commerce data.
